Hello all! Steve Fox here!!!!! Just wanted to let you know that my idea(s) still will happen! Thus our idea(s) still happening! No worries!!!!!!! Of course, all of you know that I am comfortably located in NYC right now! I thought that I would check in with you all to let you know what's happening in my quest for greatness!!!
Recently, I lost my first job (I have this timeliness thing I just can't seem to break) but fortunately picked up two more! Not without grinding to and from the Bronx Workforce, tieing and untieing ties and that irritable ass sweaty back you get when moving around through humid building and up and down subway station steps while wearing a black backpack. Onwards, I am starting a joint called Jamba Juice on Wednesday and I have to call the other gig to talk to my manager tomorrow morning! (Cosi)
Other than that, the crib (Bushwick Brooklyn) is cool! Both of my roommates are film folks so that's always good and they tend to keep the house clean with the exception of the dishes piling up! But who likes to do the damn dishes anyway!???? I'm pretty much happily surviving on the local bodega's laffy taffy, Ramen Noodles, peanut butter/jelly sandwiches and rice for the time being! It's hard out here, but I've been spending wayyyyy too much money at McDonald's and not enough money on healthy things to cook! Now I have a phone bill that's due by the 7th and not a communication pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of! LOL! It will be take care of though! And I'm pretty sure that my stove doesn't like NOT being used! It's just really bad Feng Shui! LOL! I'll be posting pictures up and so you all can see how things are going and how nice the pad is! It was very well taken care of by the old tenants and they are very much so appreciated! We even left the origional colors up to honor them!
When it comes to networking, I have bumped heads with a few folks on my day to day journeys! Of course there is my main main J.Ivy (www.myspace.com/jivyspace) who I talk to about once a week. He tells me what's poppin' and just keeps me in the loop with him! He's based out of Chicago but I typically just pick his brain and he is a true friend. He actually has invited me to be in on one of his tracks for his new project which will the likes of the great Malik Yusef and an array of others! That's going to be off the chain! I'm really excited about that and I have already written my piece! Twice! Ha! I also met a lovely chick named Sandy Yap at a Blitz the Ambassador video shoot that J. invited me to. She works with a website called fusicology.com. You should check it out! It's nice! She and I had lunch for the first time the other day at this nice spot! The zucchini fries were off the chain! And we had great conversation! Big ups to Sandy!
There are plenty more cats that I will tell you all about but I have to leave a little mystery right!? As you can tell, this has turned into a blog! So I will keep you all posted with words and visuals as the days go along! And now back to our regularly scheduled individual lives!
